Our Story & History
Empowering Since Our Inception
We, the Human Welfare Organization (HWO), are a non-governmental, non-profit development organization originally based in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Founded and led by Dr. Suramoni Singha, our Founding Executive Director, we have dedicated ourselves to uplifting rural, indigenous, and marginalized communities.
From the tea garden workers to remote rural populations, our core focus is fostering sustainable development. Along our timeline, we have continuously evolved to create sustainable projects that deliver lasting impact. Our mission is to enhance the socio-economic well-being through a holistic approach encompassing healthcare, education, vocational training, economic empowerment, and environmental action.
