Core Areas of Our Impact
1. Healthcare & Public Health
Affordable Consultations: We provide medical consultations starting at highly subsidized rates (e.g., 200 Taka) to make healthcare accessible to underprivileged rural populations.
Infrastructure & Water: We work on building rural medical infrastructure and developing clean drinking water systems certified by the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).
HWO Primary Health Care: We operate dedicated facilities in Sreemangal (Uttarsur, Sylhet Habiganj Road) including pharmacy services, as well as a central facility in Kamalganj. We also provide health checkups at our learning center in Bishamoni.
2. Renewable Energy & Climate Action
Operating through our subsidiary, HWO Energy Limited, we are highly active in the clean energy sector.
Clean Cooking Programs: We design, manufacture, and distribute improved, carbon-financed cookstoves such as the Apon Chula and IDCOL ICS models. These drastically reduce household air pollution and deforestation by lowering wood consumption.
Off-Grid Solar & Biogas: We implement solar panel systems and biogas solutions to provide affordable, renewable energy to communities lacking reliable grid access.
3. Education & Vocational Skills
Our HWO Learning Center runs specialized training programs to develop a skilled workforce.
NSDA Powered Courses
As an authorized Skills Training Provider (STP) approved by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) since 2019, our courses include:
- Computer Operations Level 2 and Level 3
- Housekeeping & Primary Health Care
- Driving Level 3 & English For Work
- Entrepreneurship Development
Students earn national-level certificates upon passing exams.
SICIP Powered Courses
Since June 2026, we are also backed by the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), offering advanced courses:
- Beautification and Entrepreneurship Development
- Food and Beverage (Production)
- Bakery and Pastry (Production)

4. Economic Empowerment & Microfinance
Women-Focused Microfinance: We facilitate microcredit services to help local women, marginalized individuals, and those excluded from traditional banking systems launch small businesses and achieve financial independence.
Our loan services cover Kamalganj, Sreemangal, Sylhet city, Kulaura, Juri, and various tea garden areas.
